Burmese Ministry Pastor

Elder Peter Khen
Bread House Burmese Minitry Pastor

Pastor Peter Khen was born on May 15th 1969 at Darkhai Village; Chin State, Myanmar among Animist families.  His family life was full of darkness and evil due to his families beliefs.  As a young boy, he left his native village and family and started a tea shop at Tedim town.  After learned baking, he married his current wife Dim Cin Niiang in 1984 and to that union was born eight children.  One day while drinking, an evangelist who stayed nearby came up and invited him to go with him to a village where he was conducting a gospel crusade.  He immediately accepted the call and on the way back home, the evangelist said "my dear Khen, you are in the heart of Jesus who loves all men".  Upon hearing about the love of Jesus, his heart was pierced and he immidiately embraced a tree while falling to his knees crying out, "O God, I am helpless please have mercy on me I commitg my life into your hands".  Thanks be to God he was saved by the power of God and was rescued from those family traditions by His mercy and love.  After being baptized in Jesus' Name he received the gift of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.  For nine years, Peter avoided going into the ministry but God would call him again and again and only got his attention through the many things he suffered.  Some of the things he went through before eccepting the call include: A severe cold that almost killed him, property seized by the police, and a severe accident.  It was only after God healed his hand that was paralyzed by the accedent that he accepted God's call to the ministry.  In 1987, he became a Elder and went into full time in 1995 in the ECC Church.  In 1997, he recieved a vision from God to spread His Word in Yangon among people practicing Buddhism and after many prayers, God showed him the right place he was to start ministering which was in Mingaladon Township in Yangon City where his served for over 9 years.  Pastor Peter and his family began to experience great persecution and in 2006 had to flee into India (New Delhi) for the safety of his family.  On February 11, 2010 he and his family came to the United States through U.N.H.C.R. and arrived at 1432 Knollwood Ave Lansing MI and while searching online for a church that baptized in Jesus Name, he found Bethlehem Temple Church "The Bread House" a few months later.  On June 3,2010 the first Bread House Burmese Ministry was established with Elder Peter Khen as pastor.
